Someone usually wants to bless their house if they are having spiritual activity in their home. This is common problem, especially in older homes. I used to live in home that was over 40 years old. The original owner had a reputation for being quite evil, and I found it to have alot of bad spirits. If you have ever seen a dark shadow move in your home, you have seen a bad spirit.
First, when blessing your house, use oil. Yes, it is true that you can use anything to bless a house, but oil last longer. I use olive oil that has been blessed. Start in your most troubled area, and go from room to room, until the entire house is complete. People usually have the most trouble in the bedroom, because that is where they sleep. If you are having trouble sleeping, I would also bless the bed. All blessings are performed in the name of Jesus. Bless every window, closet, and doorway in the room before you move to the next room. Bless the doorway before entering a room, and work your way back out. In each room, you will bless each window, each closet, and each doorway. In bathrooms and kitchens, also bless each opening to your plumbing, such as faucets, drains, and toilets. Remember to also bless the garage door.
Always bless with your right hand, going from top to bottom, and left to right. This is the way that I bless my house, and it has worked for me. With your right hand, touch your finger to the oil, and touch the area that you wish to bless. If you are blessing the window, with oil, touch the top of the window on the top left hand corner. Next, with oil, touch the top right hand corner of the window. Third, with oil, touch the bottom left hand corner of the window. And fourth, with oil, touch the bottom right hand corner of the window. As you do this, say In the name of Jesus, I ask you Lord God to bless this house, remove all bad spirits from this house, and bind all bad spirits from entering this house. In the name of Jesus Christ, bless this house. If you are having a lot of trouble, then seal the window across the opening edge by running your finger with oil across the opening edge, going from right to left. Blessed is blessed, however, sometimes this extra action is demonstrative to the spirit realm that you mean business.
Please remember in the spirit world, how you phrase your words means everything. And even if it means the same thing to you, it may not mean the same thing in the spirit realm. Continue around the room, and go to the next room, blessing each doorway, and window along the way.This is the way that I bless my house, and I hope it helps you to bless your house.
